Cloud portal

Home, search, your favourite services, all of an organization's resources with groups and tags, dashboards and notifications.

Cloud opens on Home for the organization. Everything here is per person and per organization, and is saved with your account, so it follows you to other browsers and devices.

Home and the sidebar

Home shows Suggested Services: the services you're most likely to use, picked from the kinds of resources you opened lately, your favourites and what the organization has (someone new starts with Serverless App Services, Deployments, Repositories, Databases and Storage). All Services has the rest. Below them are the resources you opened last, ways in (All Resources, Resource Groups, Serverless App Services, Deployments) and your dashboards.

The sidebar starts with Create (a Serverless App Service, database, storage bucket, domain, resource group or dashboard, as your role allows), Home, Dashboard and All Services, then your Favourites. Reorder favourites by dragging their handle, or with the arrow keys after pressing Space on the handle, or with Move Up and Move Down in an item's menu. All Services lists every service by category; its star adds a service to your favourites or removes it. The reset button next to Favourites brings back the defaults.

The search in the header (press /, or ⌘K on a Mac and Ctrl+K elsewhere) finds:

  • Resources: Serverless App Services, databases, buckets, domains, repositories and agents, by name, id or tag.
  • Services and Settings pages.
  • Documentation pages, which open in a new tab.

Without a query it shows your recent resources and shortcuts. Search all resources opens All Resources with the query.

Resource groups and tags

All Resources lists every resource of the organization you can see, with its kind, resource group, location and tags. Filter by words, kind, resource group (or No group) and tag: env matches resources with that tag, env=production only those with that value. Filters are in the address, so a filtered list can be shared.

A resource group is a named set of resources, for example everything that belongs to one app or team. A resource is in one group at most. Create, rename and delete groups under Resource Groups; deleting a group leaves its resources as they are. Tags are name and value pairs, up to 20 per resource; names are unique per resource (ignoring case) and can't contain =.

Change a resource's group and tags from its row in All Resources or on its Tags tab. That needs the right to change the resource (projects:write for Serverless App Services, resources:write for databases and buckets, domains:write for domains, git:write for repositories), and each change is recorded in the audit log.

Resource pages

Serverless App Services, databases and buckets open with the same header: where it sits (Home, its service, its name), its kind, Pin to Dashboard, and tabs that end with Activity Log, Access Control, Tags and Settings. See Serverless App Services.

  • Activity Log: the resource's entries in the audit log, newest first, filterable by activity and by person. Audit Log opens the organization's whole log in Tenant.
  • Access Control (members:read): each member who can reach it, with their role and what it allows (Manage, Change or Read), and the groups whose grants give write access to a Serverless App Service or repository. Roles and groups are managed in Tenant.

Dashboards

Dashboard opens your default dashboard. Dashboards lists yours and those shared with the organization. A dashboard is a grid of tiles:

TileShows
ResourceA resource with its kind, region, status and tags, linking to it.
TrafficRequests over the last 24 hours, for the organization or one Serverless App Service (analytics:read).
DeploymentsThe latest deployments and how they went (deployments:read).
Recent ResourcesWhat you opened last.
ServicesYour favourite services.
NoteText in Markdown.
LinkA page in Cloud or on another site.

Edit (on a wide screen) arranges the tiles: drag a tile by its handle and resize it by its corner, or focus the handle and use the arrow keys to move it and Shift with the arrow keys to resize it. Other tiles move out of the way and up into gaps. Add Tile adds one, a tile's menu edits or removes it, and Done saves. Phones show the tiles in one column.

A new dashboard can start with suggested tiles. Pin to Dashboard on a resource's page adds it to one of your dashboards, or to a new one. A dashboard is yours alone until you share it with the organization: then everyone in it can open it, and those who manage the organization (org:write) can change it. Only its owner shares or unshares it. Set as Default makes Dashboard open it.

Notifications

The bell in the header opens your recent Cloud notifications (failed deployments, domains that need attention, agent alerts), with a dot while some are unread. Opening one marks it read, and Mark All Read marks them all. All Notifications opens your whole inbox, where you also choose how you're notified. See Notifications.
