Former hostnames

The platform's apps used to be under gov.vin and deployments under *.deployments.gov.vin. Those names keep answering, so existing links, apps and devices keep working; use the current names for anything new.

Former hostnameNow
cloud.gov.vin, brain.gov.vin, tasks.gov.vin, mail.gov.vin, maps.gov.vin, drive.gov.vin, photos.gov.vin, tenant.gov.vin, admin.gov.vin, docs.gov.vin, si.gov.vinPages redirect (308) to the same path and query on the current host. API requests are still served.
issues.gov.vin, chat.gov.vinRedirect to tasks.cactive.com.au and si.cactive.com.au.
id.gov.vinSign-in pages redirect. Token, device and discovery endpoints are still served, so apps, command lines and agents signed in before the move stay signed in.
api.gov.vin, mcp.gov.vin, downloads.gov.vinStill served. MCP connections added with mcp.gov.vin keep working.
git.gov.vinClone, fetch and push still work; portal pages redirect.
sync.gov.vinStill served: Apple devices set up with it keep syncing, and a new profile replaces the old one.
*.deployments.gov.vinStill served: each deployment answers on both names.
cname.deployments.gov.vinCustom domains pointing at it keep working (Custom domains).

Browser sessions belong to a hostname, so you sign in once more on the new hosts.

One account for every app

Your account lives at id.cactive.com.au. Cloud, Git, Caity, Notes, Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Maps, Drive, Documents, Sheets, Slides, Studio, Video, Photos, Mirage, Customers, Health, Weather, Food, Marketing, Tenant and Admin are separate apps that sign you in through it: open any of them and you're sent to sign in, or straight back if you already are. Each app keeps its session cookies on its own hostname, so deployments, which run under a different domain, never receive them. See Sign-in and sessions.

The phone apps sign in through it too. Cactive Authenticator, for two-step sign-in codes, is a phone app only: it works without an account and signs in just for its backup.

This documentation is public and needs no account.

The app switcher

Every app's header has a grid button listing the apps: Cloud, Git, Caity, Notes, Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Maps, Drive, Documents, Sheets, Slides, Studio, Video, Photos, Mirage, Customers, Health, Weather, Food, Marketing, Docs, Account and Authenticator. Owners and admins of an organization also see Tenant, and members of the platform organization Admin. Contacts opens that part of Mail, and Authenticator opens two-step sign-in in your account, with a link to the phone app.

Programmatic access

  • AI clients and scripts use the MCP server with an MCP key.
  • Git clients use HTTPS with a key as the password (Repositories).
  • Self-hosted agents use a device credential from their login.
  • The platform API serves the platform's own apps and platform agent keys.
